Call for Workshop Submissions

Deadline: February 15th

The Spring 2007 Radical Encuentro Camp is calling for proposals for workshops.
The theme of this camp is "Climate Change, Climate Justice" so workshops
addressing climate and environmental justice issues are something we are
looking for, as well as workshops on a number of other topics related to
empowering and educating radical communities in Texas.

In the past REC has hosted workshops on a wide variety of skills and
issues on topics including:

-Non-Violent Direct Action
-Intro to Zapatismo
-Water Privatization
-Consensus Facilitation
-Dealing With State Repression

see a list of workshops from the last camp:

Workshop slots are an hour and 15 minutes long. If you have a workshop
that you think would be an appropriate fit for REC we would love for you
to send us a proposal.

This should contain

1. Your contact information
2. A description of the workshop: title, brief description
3. A list of what materials will be required, especially if you need help
in getting the materials (paper, markers, technology, piƱatas etc)
4. Information about your background with the issues addressed by the
workshop and where you have given this workshop previously
5. Any other support you would need from the camp organizers

Please submit your proposals via email to radicalencuentro(at)riseup.net by
February 15th and we hope to make you aware of our selections soon after.

Please feel free to get in touch with questions about the proposal
submission process or any other questions regarding REC.
